PathcoreFlow has a number of supported types including

  • Filenames
  • Long form description text,

  • Custom Fields (key-value pairs)

Is it possible to customize metadata for a study or folder?PathcoreFlow

Yes, Custom Fields and Field Sets can be customized and applied in bulk with some packages.

Is it possible to bulk edit metadata on files or folders?PathcoreFlow

Yes. There are bulk operations for modifying Custom Fields values for items in the Repository. In addition, Custom Fields values can be edited in bulk via importing from CSV files.

Is it possible to export metadata?PathcoreFlowPathcoreScholar

Yes. Users can export metadata in JSON or CSV formats from the Repository.

Is it possible to bulk import metadata?PathcoreFlow

Yes. The Bulk Metadata Upload tool can be used to import and update Custom Fields values in the Repository.

Is it possible to search using metadata?PathcoreFlowPathcoreScholar

Yes. Clicking on a Custom Field value will execute a search of the field that was clicked. Alternatively, the Search can be used to create a custom query.

Is it possible to sort files by their name or metadata?PathcoreFlowPathcoreScholar

Yes. The Repository lists items in a tabular fashion that can be sorted by any of the customizable columns, such as “Name” and “Modified Time”.
