Exporting Results

Results on the Search Page can be exported as a file in CSV format. The exported file will always contain one row per search result and the columns describe the System Fields and Custom Fields associated with the results. For each row/result, the available columns are populated.

The first row in the file is a header row that defines the name of all fields associated with the exported results. The columns in the file represent the union of fields available for the exported results.

To export search results
  1. Click on the Search button to the right of the Global Search box in the Repository Top Bar

  2. Perform a search. See Search Overview for more details

  3. Click on the Down Arrow button next to the Search title of the page

  4. Select Export as CSV from the dropdown menu

  5. In the popup dialog, click on the Start Export button. If prompted, select a location to save the downloaded file

Empty Columns

An empty column in the exported file is somewhat ambiguous in that it may correspond to a field that is associated with the result but is undefined, or it may correspond to a field that is not associated with the result at all.
