Browse Folder Panel
The Browse Folder panel displays the list of images in the same folder as the file currently on display in the Viewer. You can view the images in List view, Icon view or Compact List view. The Browse Folder panel can be accessed by clicking the button located on the left-hand sidebar of the Viewer.
To toggle the visibility of the Browse Folder panel
If the left sidebar is not displayed, toggle it by clicking on the Menu > button at the bottom left of the Viewer
Click on the
button in the left sidebar to open the Browse Folder panel
To resize the Browse Folder panel
If the left sidebar is not displayed, toggle it by clicking on the Menu > button at the bottom left of the Viewer
Hover or click on the
button in the left sidebar
Click and drag the right border of the panel to resize it
To open the current image's folder
If the left sidebar is not displayed, toggle it by clicking on the Menu > button at the bottom left of the Viewer
Hover or click on the

Click on the folder name at the top of the panel
To open the current image's folder in a new browser tab
If the left sidebar is not displayed, toggle it by clicking on the Menu > button at the bottom left of the Viewer

Filtering Items
The list of items can be filtered by name, description, or any other System or Custom Field.
The search box above the image listing will have different options, and two different modes of operation depending on your PathcoreFlow package:
- BioPharma - toggle between Simple and Advanced Search.
- Research+ - toggle between Keyword and Simple Search.

Display Settings
Primary Display Field
Images listed in the Browse Folder panel show their filename by default. A user can change this to quickly select other images based on a different metadata field.
To change the primary display field
If the left sidebar is not displayed, toggle it by clicking on the Menu > button at the bottom left of the Viewer

Click on the Primary dropdown menu at the top left of the list of files. It shows the currently selected field by which it is sorting (defaults to "Name")
Select a System Field from the dropdown menu, or use the search box to filter for and select a Custom Field
Sort Order
The list of items in the can be sorted by any metadata field.
To change the sort order
If the left sidebar is not displayed, toggle it by clicking on the Menu > button at the bottom left of the Viewer
Hover or click on the

Click on the Sort by dropdown menu at the top right of the list of files. It shows the currently selected field by which it is sorting (defaults to "Name")
(Optional) Click on the arrow immediately to the right of the field name to toggle between sorting in
ascending order or
descending order
Display Mode
The Browse Folder panel can list items using three formats: List, Compact List, and Icon.
To change the list mode
If the left sidebar is not displayed, toggle it by clicking on the Menu > button at the bottom left of the Viewer

Click on the Display Mode button at the top right of the item list. This button will appear different depending on the current display mode: List (
), Compact List (
), or Icon (
)
Click on the desired list view mode
(Optional) Toggle the display of image labels in the list by clicking on Show Labels
File Read Status
The file read status indicates if a file has been previously clicked on (i.e., viewed) by the currently logged-in user. An unread status is indicated by a boldface font in the Browse Folder panel and the read status is indicated by a plain face font.
To toggle the read status
Bring up the context menu for any entry in the Browse Folder panel
Click Mark as Read to enable the read status, or
Click Mark as Unread to clear the read status
To toggle the read status on multiple items
Select one or more items by holding the Ctrl key (on Windows) or ⌘ / Command key (on macOS) key and clicking on them
Click the # Selected dropdown menu which appears at the top left of the list of files
Click Mark as Read to enable the read status, or
Click Mark as Unread to clear the read status
Starred Items
Any file can be Starred, which can be toggled by clicking on the button adjacent to the item's name. A solid star indicates an item has been starred while a hollow star (default) status indicates the item has not. Items tagged this way are quickly and easily accessible from the Starred page.
To toggle Starred status
Click on the
button next to an item name to add the Starred tag
or
Click on the
button next to an item name to remove the tag
To toggle Starred status on multiple items
Select one or more items by holding the Ctrl key (on Windows) or ⌘ / Command key (on macOS) key and clicking on them
Click the # Selected dropdown menu which appears at the top left of the list of files
Click Add Star to add the Starred tag
or
Click Remove Star to remove the tag
